I've got four Bolivian Rams today from a guy who breeds them. I always used to think those fish were somewhat drab and boring compared to the Ramirezis, but after letting them settle in my tank for a few hours they look gorgeous. They are still quite young and the guy says that they only start developing the colouration now, so I guess they're going to be even more stunning.

They are loverly Rams the colours and markings are very distinct. Well done.

Thanks everyone. And to think that I almost told the guy that I don't want them (I have not seen them first).

Fluffy, if you were in the UK you could get some, as he's looking to sell the rest of the brood. He's breeding other south American dwarf cichlids too and I'm sure they're all as amazing as he takes care to mix them with wild fish. I'll probably get some Blue Rams from him soon, so watch this space.

They are gorgeous. And they still have some colouring up to do? Wow.

Post pics when they're in courting colours ... then you'll amaze everyone with the spectacle, because in courting colours, Bolivian Rams are a blast!
