Brenguns blue rams laying | |
Brengun Big Fish Posts: 355 Kudos: 187 Votes: 110 Registered: 22-Jun-2007 | Last nite my blue rams decided to lay eggs. I have narrowed down the 60 or so photos down to a top 5. Note the drool on the last one's mouth. They seemed to be enjoying themselves immensely. |

The truth is you have been doing all the correct research and getting the best results. Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. The driftwood in the tank for the L168's butterfly plecos is giving off tannins which the bolivians also like. Recent hot weather has been sending the water temp from 27C to 29C. The only thing I am not really sure is exactly how long the eggs take to hatch. A couple of days is the most accurate info I have been able to find. Exact hours would be more accurate. |

Higher temperature will cause development to speed up and they will hatch sooner. Also, congratulations! When I got a pair of L104 I pinched the rams tank and I have moved them back upstairs to an exclusive 50cm tank which they quite seem to like. I am still not sure if I have a pair of rams or two girls. I do have a magnificent male ram in a 3ft community tank and if nothings doing with the ram duo, I might let them visit the male and sort out what they'd like to do. |

Wingsdlc Fish Guru What is this? Posts: 2332 Kudos: 799 Registered: 18-Jan-2005 | Looking at the first picture I think you might be right about having two females. I see purple on both the belly which is normally a sign of a female. 19G Container Pond [IMG]http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/Wingsdlc/Ric |
