It's a wild fish. It has a bass-like mouth. I've seen it eat ghost shrimp almost 1/2 it's body length.

Here is a bit of info about those nasties.
I took this at a Cairns Aquarium

Stonefish
It is considered the most ugly exhibit there. The spines contain a very powerful venom which can be fatal.
They lay camouflaged waiting for there next small fish to come by. There prey is sucked in with one movement of its mouth. Stonefish have been recorded snatching its prey in 1/100 of a second

all i cna say is that stone fish have got to move the fastest any other thing can move ....... it is like "now u see the little fish ...... now u dont"

They have stone fish at one of my LFS's...they're freaky... they just sit there and you can stare into their freaky eyes...
