Clown Loach eating a tomato | |
keithgh *Ultimate Fish Guru* Posts: 6371 Kudos: 6918 Votes: 1542 Registered: 26-Apr-2003 | Here is one of my large Clown Loaches enjoying a good feed on a piece of tomato. Two hrs later the loaches had moved it 18ins still held to flat rock. All they had left was just the outside skin. I'm just think a lot of juice and seed flying around. Is it really messy? Is just the loach or do the others like the tomato also ? BTW, hate to break it you, but that doesn't look like a Clown Loach to me ! Bears a distinct resemblance to the Loch Ness Monster :%)He's huge ! Hope that's a lo-cal tomato Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |

I don't find it messy at all. I remove the seeds and attach it to a rock. My loaches, platies, and gouramis all love it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

The fish go nuts for any kind of veg I've tried, they much prefer it to flake or bloodworms. Variety in the diet is always a good thing. I also cut a small piece of the bottom so that it will sit better on the flat rock. I have said it in several posts I once found a tomato seed in my old internal filter which had germinated and I know it had only been there a week. There is another photo there of them eating pear they love that. Bernard The Loch Ness Monster is in Scotland not Aussieland we only have sharks, and stingers.
