This naturally is not my tank but natures beauty.

I think it is a Yellow Tail Shark (possibly local name) being hand feed with a fish frame about 2ft++ in length to give you an idea of the size of this shark. The photo was taken at Cape York Tropical Australia on one of my fishing trips. By taking this photo you can easily see how many big sharks are caught up there. This was a feeding only as it was basically trained to come to food also it was a resident in this particular inlet.

I am surprised that I got no comments, as not all these foods are usually fed to fish in tanks. Even the last photo is totally different.

I didn't even look at this post when it first came out, as I thought it was about regular fish food. But this am. I clicked on it & saw it is not. I found it interesting, cause for awhile I was also feeding bits of food I ate to the fish. This post made me realize that I have slacked off on doing that. Thanks for the reminder! I will get back to doing that. I never tried tomato though, but will try everything now.... that is.....in the way of fruit & veggies.

I have fed non fatty meat though, such as shrimp, fish & chicken. In fact I was going to feed them some Thanksgiving turkey, but forgot. I have leftover, so can still do that.

I would never have thought to feed bananas, unless maybe I had pacus or silver dollars! You've been very creative with the things you're feeding your fish.

I have fished FW and SW in the tropics to very cold waters of Aust and nothing surprises me what fish eat

From chicken bones, lolly papers, cigarettes, and even dead leaves nothing surprises me at all, I have known big cod to down soft drink cans whole.

Just think about the wild situation they don't get fed 2-3 times a day and always at the same times as our tank fish do they have to eat what they can when they can.

Many fishermen will back me up on that.

I have marvelled, but could only comment "Wow! Cool!" so I didn't bother posting.

But, since you mentioned people not commenting, I shall mention that I tried a spinach leaf to see if my otos would go for it, with no interest. I shall try again once I have the cories I plan to get shortly.

I vote! Do you?

One thing I have found if it has a strong or bitter taste they will not touch it. Spinach can be a rather strong tasting vegetable.

I cut a cherry tomato and tossed it in the tank to tempt the bottom feeders. They never got a look in as the guppies and apple snails went crazy for it.
