Close-up of a green shrimp, or Caridina cf. babaulti. Unfortunately on a green backdrop as the conditions were not optimal for red plants in that tank.

Why is it called a green shrimp?

Looks red to me

Jake, can I ask you a favor? I am having a hard time reading your entries as your font and color are not really user friendly.

The various entries you made yesterday seem very interesting, but I always give up halfway through.

Thanks,

Ingo

Sure, that's not a problem.

The picture does look clearer, thanks. You'd know why it was called a green shrimp if the backdrop plants were red or I held some white plastic or something behind it.
