The pear is suspended by very strong fishing line. The spots are from the air bubbles at the back of the tank. It will stay in the tank for about one to two hours. As they nibble on it small pieces fall to the bottom feeders lurking around. Also notice several RT sharks feeding together never a problem.

Great pics, I especially like the first group shot.

Since you posted pear pics some time ago I've been meaning to try it with my fish. The first time I'd heard of giving fish tomatoes was after seeing some of those pictures of yours, and my fish appreciate that very much

Feeding all those extras origionally came from Roona but I think I have added a few more

I think the pear could be their favourite extra. The softer the better. I have seen them strip a core down to just fibres in about two hrs.

I can't get any of my fishes to eat fruits or vegetables. I've tried lettuce, zucchini, and cucumber. Any advice to get those rascals to eat them?

This may sound drastic but is it possible you are over feeding them?

Let them go without food for a few days and then give them about 1/4 of what they normaly have plus a extra food. As you can see most of mine go for it. Keep this up for a few weeks and see what happens. The Opalines went crazy the first time they saw the pear.

I'll try reducing my feeding for a few days.

Awww, so cute.
I suppose I'll ask the indelicate question, since indelicate is what I am: Two RTBS?

Are you refering to my Redtail Sharks. Yes three and all doing well and eat together as you can see, never a problem. The large one often gets a bit chasey after feeding time and its with the large Silver Sharks.
