I'd forgotten to turn the heater back on after cleaning the tank the night before. Took ages to get the temp up via heater and drip fed hot water but eventually it was ok to release them into their new tank. The neon tetras in the tank were a little chilly for a while. They look like scotch grey mosquitoes. On the way to collect the plecos I made a little detour to a lfs and got a few other fishies. Three panda corydoras to go with the three I already have. 11 Otocinclus to go with my two current ottos. A pair of German Blue Rams. They are a little off color yet but looking better as they settle in. And last but not least, a girl Bolivian ram to go with my bachelor Bolivian. By this time I had run out of space in quarantine tanks, so she is in a brood net in the males tank. He can look but not touch. |

Brengun Big Fish Posts: 355 Kudos: 187 Votes: 110 Registered: 22-Jun-2007 | Forgive me, I'm not good with technical stuff, but hubby got a big car battery suited especially for campers and an adapter of some sort which will run a large airpump for quite a number of hours. Not especially worried about lack of electricity for heaters as Queensland weather is usually quite stable with no snow or anything extreme anyway. I would like to breed plecos sometime as it would be way cool so see little miniature adults scooting around. I think I would have to be innundated with them though before I would want to part with and sell any. Keith, I am so bad, I dim the lights at night and sit for hours with binoculars so I can watch the plecs in the tanks play. |

I observe most of my fish and feed them in the dark, because that's just how catfish are, haha. You're Hypancistrus are looking quite sharp, once again, you've made me jealous. -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |

I post this link on the L260 saga as I haven't got it in me to speak about it anymore. http://www.plecofanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57965 |
