A stripped Kuhli loach I took this some time ago but lost it in the water supply problem I had.

Looking for more but not easy to locate

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Its actually just a nostril fishpatty, however, they have been called thorneyes since they have a thorn right beneath their eye.

I have been trying for ages to get the perfect shot. Either they move; I get too excited and move the camera; I forget about lighting or on the best photo I got, the glass on the tank was dirty. I spent hours today trying to get a shot.

I give up. These are a couple of the best shots I could get. The first shot is my favourite. A little dark as these khulis really like to sit under the shade of plants.
The second shot came out like a portrait but I didn't have that setting set on the camera.
The third is supposed to be a black khuli but like a lot of black things when you expose them to a flash bulb, they come out brownish. My black pair doesn't come out as openly as the striped pairs does.

Here is a macro shot of my striped khuli loach. Note the nostril horns, the loach spur beneath the eye and the blood vessels in the mouth barbels.

I caught my loach yawning and condensed it down to an avatar for myself. Here is the bigger picture.

There are some fantastic macro photos there. Looks like you were lucky and they decided to behave them selves.

Since I lost my stripes I have not seen any since. I will get more as soon as I can
