Hello, this is more of a question than sharing my pics. I'm wondering how you manage to get your pics to come out so sharp and how to light the tank when taking pics.

I have a 35mm non-digital camera and I have dificulties in getting everything in focus, as well as lighting the tank without getting reflections from the glass. Any information would be helpful as my current strategy involves just taking a whole lot of pictures and throwing away the bad ones.

That helps a lot with digital cameras. The trouble is, the one I have the most trouble with, isn't digital. Really the bulk of the problem is that only one area is in focus with this camera, either the foreground, background, or subject. I'd like to know if there's a secret to getting all three to come out clear.

I would take the camera to a Camera shop with some of the photos you have taken and get them to check the camera out. It could easily be a setting or worst of all it had it and not worth repairing. Sorry that is the best I can do.
What might help is tell us about the camera brand & model also its age. It can be very expensive taking photos with a 35mm as it can be one of the most difficult things to photograph. Reasons, reflections, lighting, focusing, fish constantly on the move. I might some times take 20-30 photos and only keep about 5 even then they will have to be photoshoped and then reduced to post here on FP. Sounds like a sales pitch to buy a digital well it could easily be that.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info
