I have just returned from the Great Barier Reef and was informed the the Barramundi Rock Cod is now full protected and is not allowed to be removed from the GBR.

BARRAMUNDI ROCK COD

The barramundi rock cod Latin name is Cromileptes altivelis. Family Lutjanidae. They are generally uncommon on the Great Barrier Reef, but locally common is some areas. They don't grow much bigger than about 700 mm total length. They are carnivores. Colour varies from black spots and white background, to same with bright yellow fin margins

Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.

Congrats. That is one stunning fish. May I ask how you came about finding out about this fish? I would like to see if there are any other stunners.

Cheers

The infomation came from my last fishing trip. The owner opperator of the charter said the infomation came from the Queensland Fisheries. As a profesional charter opperator he has to up to date with all the new regulations.
