nathaliedc Small Fry Posts: 4 Kudos: 4 Votes: 1 Registered: 02-Nov-2006 | hello there! Totally new to this forum and a long way from everyone, I still like to introduce my tanks to you. Because I'm not a premium member, I can't post any photo's here so I'll just give the link to the pictures.. This is one I don't have anymore. The size was (in centimetres, I don't know which you use) 60*30*45 (length, depth, height). I replaced this one (which was secondhand, with a brand new one). http://img395.imageshack.us/img395/5452/img05661bg.jpg This is my little one (50*30*18) it was my first aquarium ever, although it's so small, it's hardly worth calling it an aquarium warning: it's not a very good picture. i'll take another one some time and post it here too. http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/3105/img0359rk1.jpg This is the replacment of the first one (60*45*45), it's bigger. It's an all asian biotoe, so all plants and fish are asian, although I don't have all the fich I want yet, and some plants still have to grow (while other plants grow too much). It's only been running for a month and a half now.. http://aquauploads.aq.funpic.de/album/rudolfke-IMG_0788.jpg This is one that isn't mine, but I decorated it and decided on the fish and everything. size: 200*70*60, it's an african biotope. http://img53.imageshack.us/img53/5306/gestitched2eh.jpg http://img53.imageshack.us/img53/5048/img02156tm.jpg And ome videos of that one: http://media.putfile.com/Movie-1-49 http://media.putfile.com/Movie-2-79 http://media.putfile.com/Movie-3-14 http://media.putfile.com/Aquarium-2007060 There you go, I hope you enjoyed the pictures en videos a bit. **Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life** |

illustrae Fish Addict Posts: 820 Kudos: 876 Registered: 04-May-2005 | Wow, they all look quite nice. Definitely got the jungle look going on. What kinds of fish do you keep in all of them? I love the african tank. Very nicely done, and I love Congo Tetras! Those Butterfly fish are also more active than any I've seen. Fun videos! Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean... |

I also would like to know what kinds of fish you have in your tanks I thought I saw some platys in one and gouramis in another? "Talk is cheap. Action can be almost as affordable" |

nathaliedc Small Fry Posts: 4 Kudos: 4 Votes: 1 Registered: 02-Nov-2006 | Ik ben van het Vlaamse deel I'm from the Flemish part of belgium. The first one (which I don't have anymore) had platys and guppys in it, and also Corydoras pygmaeus (Sorry, I usually know the scientific name before the English one ) Here's a pic of two of them http://aquauploads.aq.funpic.de/files/rudolfke-IMG_0575.JPG And here's the complete group Corydoras as it was: http://img122.imageshack.us/img122/2612/img02894rb.jpg The second one, the smallest one, has 4 pseudepiplatys annulates in it, and also some shrimps. Here are some pics: http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/1365/img0741da2.jpg http://img122.imageshack.us/img122/4086/img03149cf.jpg Babyshrimphttp://img165.imageshack.us/img165/8081/img0347wb2.jpg The third one, the Asian one, has 10 botia sidthimunki and 2 Colisa chuna (honey gourami?) And there will also be a nice group of 30 Boraras brigittae, but I'm stil waiting for them. They're not so easy to come by. The african one had Phenacogrammus interruptus (the Congo tetras), a beautiful group of 20. Also the butterfly fish (Pantodon buchholzi). And a pair of Pelvicachromis pulcher, and 5 Hemichromis lifalilli (2 men and 3 women). Also 20 Pareutropius buffei, and 2 of a Synodontis species. The most important thing when you want to have plants in you tank is to have good light. And then you have to let it shine for 12hours a day (between 11 and 12). Easy plants will grow good enough only on that. You can also add fluid fertilizer, special for aquariums, although I have no idea what sort of things your LFS sells. What any fish shop in the USA (and other country's) sells for that part.. **Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life** |

Kunzman96 Hobbyist Posts: 144 Kudos: 91 Votes: 115 Registered: 29-Oct-2006 | Thanks for pointing me the right direction. I probably misspelled the name when I did a search. That is a cool fish. I am going to keep my eye out for them at the local fish store. I too have never seen them here. They dont get very big do they? I wonder if my big angels would try to eat them. "Talk is cheap.
