It is hard to see but it looks like you have a small plant behind the driftwood R/H end. If so bring it forward then add some tall plants at the rear behind the drift woood R/H end. A very intersting tank to look at it has that I want to stay and look more. Well done Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. Plants are all new, tanks been going 2 weeks, not sure what plants i have to be honest as im kinda dense on that. i dont think there is enough space or light to grow anything behind the driftwood, but i might try soem low light reeds or something. am about to get some plants for the surface from a very kind member of the board stock: pentazona barbs gold barbs panda cories clown loaches (yes i know) and mollies |

The slate I think, detracts from the whole image. |

cols Hobbyist Posts: 129 Kudos: 91 Votes: 1 Registered: 03-May-2004 | ive slowly been multiplying those small foreground plants, now have about 15 growing and i intend to keep going till i have a good covering. the slate is in there to grow algea on it for the BN and Mollies to feast upon really and it doesnt look that bright normally. still i have been thinking about removing it for a while now. |

fishyhelper288 Fish Guru Posts: 2161 Kudos: 1951 Votes: 137 Registered: 29-Feb-2004 | heres a tip for growing green algea, take a slip or and aquatic lilly, (IMO slips work better) and grow it very close to the surface of the water, u can grow it in a seperate tank too, but after u get a substantial amount, clip the leaf with the most, and ancher it compleatly flat to the ground of the tank. it looks a little funny, so better to put it behind somthing, and if u leave enough stem, the plant will grow roots, when that happens u dont have to ancher it anymore, if u dont want the plant in thetank, then put it back into the angea gowing tank, and u will have more leaves to pick from when it grows. hope this helped |
