Good find! -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |

katieb Fish Addict Posts: 697 Votes: 69 Registered: 03-Jul-2004 | Thanks! The danios are pretty odd. They all have a gold line and a blue line with 3 blue dots and fins upturned like wings. My 20 long's stocklist is: 3 cherry barbs 6 "Orange" danios (1 in or less, hopefully they max out at 1" 2 female Platies 1 female betta 1 pearl Am I stocked? Im wondering because I like having the option of adding a bottom feeder. I'll do graffiti, If you sing to me in French. |

They are actually a species related to cyprinid hatchetfish. Heres the fishba http://fishba To answer your other question, no, you aren't fully stocked, especially since your aquarium is a long, but you're coming pretty close. You could definitely add a small group of Otos, just as long as you keep up on water changes. |

I've never heard of a cyprinid hatchetfish, though. -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |

Thanks for all the help. This thread was really informative I'll do graffiti, If you sing to me in French. |

katieb Fish Addict Posts: 697 Votes: 69 Registered: 03-Jul-2004 | Alright my sister bought a fish from a platy tank, that appears to be a swordtail. This was about 3 weeks ago. When we bought her her gravid spot was pretty noticeable and I figured she was pregnent. Recently I have noticed that she has really ballooned up. Since I do not know when she became pregnant, I have no idea when she will drop. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/Katie215512/IMG_3435.jpg This is a photo I took tonight. Its not the best quality as she would not stop moving, but Im hoping one of you guys can give me an idea of how far along she is. There is a pic in my op of when I first bought her for comparison if it helps I'll do graffiti, If you sing to me in French. |
