I got a male German Blue Ram for the female we already have, he is gorgeous! More of a rounded nose than hers, not sure if that is usual. But *very* colourful.
Also got two baby albino Bristlenose, they are 2cm! Soo small. Very difficult to spot in the tank! Will post a pcture if I am ever able to snap one

Very pretty

Would love to see pics of the baby BNs, I've never seen them that small!

He appears to be glaring I don't think it's helping his ego to be so darned pretty. Maybe he'd prefer to be rugged, poor guy. Great shots! I particularly like the second.

I have not had any Rams for many years. Yours look so colourful and healthy.

Also a good photo

He just has that cichlid face, very evident in the second shot, that says "I'm not gonna take nothin from nobody, ya hear?" or something to that effect.

I love those fish. I have two myself, but not sure of their sex. One is younger than the other. My lfs told me the only sure way to sex these guys is by the shape of their face. One being more rounded and the other, more pointed (I don't remember which was which). And that it's really difficult when they're young. I've never read that anywhere else. Has anyone else?

Malaikah, great pics !! Do you have pics of your male and female together? I'd like to see just how their faces differ. I'd appreciate it....

Thanks,

Jack

With the two in my tank, the male has a more rounded nose, while the females is more to a point. The male has a solid black spot on his side, while her same black spot has the spangles going through it. His finnage is slightly more pointed. He also has a red nose.
