This is my latest find from the South Bank markets on Sunday. He really stood out from the others, a crowntail with beautiful finnage. Unfortunately my camera is getting worse and worse as time goes on (there are scratches and stuff on the lens) so the photos aren't very good, but I just couldn't wait to show this beauty off.

He doesn't have his fins spread in the first one, but it does show his face:

His face is hidden by the flash/smudges in this one, but his lovely fins are visible.

Blurry but shows his colours better, particularly the red at the base of his tail:

Nice! I wish my mom would let me get a 5 gallon for a betta. I love the twin tails with HUGE fins

Are you sure it is the camera, did you try taking the photos at an angle sideways and down. Or just turn your flash off, if you can not turn the flash off put your finger over the flash it works 100% and never fails.

Loverly colours in those fish.

I know, I know - I sound like a workman blaming her tools

I have tried with the flash off but because I can't change the settings on the camera, I can't increase the shutter speed and end up with blurry shots (as in the last shot).

Also, something has gotten under the lens which makes that smudge appear in the top-right corner of every pic.
I can see sand under there too (should never have taken it to the beach ).
