Ironhand74 Hobbyist Posts: 95 Kudos: 69 Votes: 295 Registered: 11-Aug-2007 | got a hand-full of plants few days ago, finally got them planted, most of them were "variety pots" so they did not have any notable form of ID. So all you plant gurus' out there, have at it !! plant #1; http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee52/ironhand74/5cfa9dff.jpg http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee52/ironhand74/cc043aff.jpg http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee52/ironhand74/f7a7448b.jpg plant #2 http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee52/ironhand74/9156b892.jpg http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee52/ironhand74/b79f413f.jpg (its the one in the left side, in the corner) plant#3 http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee52/ironhand74/f9a14436.jpg http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee52/ironhand74/52440c7f.jpg These plants did have the plastic ID stakes in their pots; http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee52/ironhand74/b1c5b06f.jpg http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee52/ironhand74/fe5774d3.jpg http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee52/ironhand74/5f3a2bba.jpg http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee52/ironhand74/0b359d16.jpg Easy there Frank, lol |

It cannot survive while being fully submersed, it will die this way. Plant two is what i think they call a domino sword, it is also non- aquatic, this will die in the aquarium. The good news with this one is that you can plant it as a house plant. Plant 3, i do not know what they call this but it is also nonaquatic. It will die in the aquarium. As with the domino sword, you can treat it as a houseplant. I hate those fish stores that sell these types of plants to the unknowing |

Ironhand74 Hobbyist Posts: 95 Kudos: 69 Votes: 295 Registered: 11-Aug-2007 | well thats just a fine "how-do-ya-do", the all to friendly folks assured me that these were true aquatics, tho I did wonder about the little ferns in set 1 as I was removing them from their pots, woody roots and stems. Oh well, that would probably explain the lack of info being found on the web, looking for non-aquatic plants in aquatic plant websites- silly me. Yes, I agree with ya CLF, all these plants were fully submerged in the display labeled "aquatic plants". Thanks for the rapid response, looks like I need to go get some potting soil now.. lol, I think I know what I'm going to give for the white-elephant gift exchange at work !! |
