Dr. Bonke Moderator Posts: 367 Kudos: 215 Votes: 36 Registered: 15-Apr-2004 | It's my pleasure, meanwhile check out these pages for some general information (and several reasonable photos). These are of the species Otocinclus vittattus, which is the kind that I have in my tank: http://www.thetropicaltank.co.uk/Fishindx/oto-vittatus.htm http://www.plantedtank.net/otocinclus.html http://64.95.130.5/Summary/SpeciesSummary.cfm?id=50462 Last edited by Dr. Bonke at 02-Mar-2005 03:04 |

They've been with me now for over a year, the picture with the panda was taken last week. (and sorry about the shot with the dirty glass, that one is kind of old ) Hmmmm info...slow acclimation and make sure there is established algae in the tank. Mine also like an occasional snack of broccoli or fresh spinach. Last edited by Theresa_M at 02-Mar-2005 09:46 ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

bensaf Fish Master Posts: 1978 Kudos: 1315 Registered: 08-Apr-2004 | Here's one of mine. They are great fish. Very diligent cleaners. Had mine for quite a few months never seen them eat anything except algae. They can be a little sensitive when first introduced. This may be stress as they are wild caught. I've had no problems, never lost any, which I believe is quite unusual. I bought them from a well known aquascaper here so that probably helped. Clean water which I know you have, and they don't need much attention after that. Don't see the cute little buggers much always busy. Can be hard to keep count of bensaf attached this image: Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |

Took me a lot of patient waiting to get the little fellow to pose like this, I can tell you! |
