Here is the FP article on clown loaches: http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/clownloach.xm The thing about keeping clowns is that you need a small group of 4-5 loaches atleast. They are expensive, so most people buy them at a very small size, but my recommendation would be that you buy them at 3 inches atleast. They are very e to ich, so you definitely need a heater in the tank to control temperatures. And most of all, you will need the biggest tank you can get. You can put juvenile clowns in a 55 gal, but very soon you will need to upgrade to a 120 gal plus tank. Mine are in a 79 gal tank at the moment, but because of the size of the group (19 clowns) I am looking at a 230 gallon tank sometime in the future. The good news however, is that they are slow growers, so it will give you enough time to plan |

Clown loaches are the opposite as humans, they seem to be mature when small, but as they grow, act more and more like babies, lol. My dads clown loach just sits there and watches me ALL day long, because hie wantsto get even fatter than he already is. |

Most of them are over 4 inches now. Who on earth says they are mature??? Mine are babies and act like babies |

They have came along a lot better since I have started giving them all the extra bits and pieces in an excellent diet.
