littlemousling Conchiform Posts: 5230 Registered: 23-Aug-2003 | I just got (along with some Cyps, Caudopunks, and others) some Altolamprologus compressiceps "Sumbu," a variety of Comp that's developed smaller so as to use the shell niche rather than the cave one. Most of the pictures of them available online are, er, hideous, or anyway the ones I've seen, so I'm working on getting the word out that they're adorable. littlemousling Conchiform Posts: 5230 Registered: 23-Aug-2003 | Not sure what you mean about method (method of growing?) but the Sumbu variety evolved to be a smaller version so that they could use shells while the larger varieties of their species continue to use caves, if that's what you were asking.
