Fantastic close up photo. I have tried to photograph them at a local Aqu but they are always too shy. The colours show up extremly well.

What do you fed her on, and does she have a boy friend?

She gets bits of everything. There are about 7 feeder fish in her tank, and during summer i fill it up with mosquitofish, not so much for her to eat (she isnt the worlds fastest hunter) but more for interest... Sle likes to stand there and look threatening!
Lately she has been on veggies (zucchini, corn, peas, carrot etc) and shrimp pellets, and the odd pinch of live blackworms.

Bit of a garbage disposal really!

And no, sadly she doesnt have a BF. I had some bad experiences trying to breed the C. destructor species. I woke up one morning and the female had eaten the head off my youngest male. Rather un-romantic in my mind.

She has come into berry once, but her tail closed so tightly when the camera came near her, i couldnt get a good photo without picking her up and physically opening her tail, and i thought that was a little drastic for an interest photo. Maybe she will do it again this summer
