angeleel Fish Addict Posts: 561 Kudos: 472 Votes: 61 Registered: 08-Feb-2005 | I was wondering if anyone was familar with the camera I have, its not the best digi cam but it takes wicked pics of everything BUT fish!!! Could anyone help me out on what would be the best settings for this camera to get some great shots of my tanks. It has a flower power button but the pics still come out rotten even with the cam perfectly still. Please help I want to show off my fishies!! Angel Eel |

If you are under the recommended distance you never will get a perfect focus. Try it on a flower at various distances (write down the measurements) for each photo to check that the macro is working correctly. moondog Moderator The Hobnob-lin Posts: 2676 Kudos: 1038 Votes: 4366 Registered: 30-Sep-2002 | one thing i will say about your first few pics, if you can't turn the flash off at the camera, then you should put some tissue over it, or a handkerchief to block the flash glare. or you could try taping over it, but then you would see the reflection in the glass when it goes off. also, bring the camera right up against the glass as much as possible. you can see the reflection of the camera in the glass in a couple shots, and it's really noticeable because you have a silver camera. the couple pics of the pleco are not bad, but again i think if the camera were up closer and you could turn the flash off that you would get a better image, especially on macro (flower) mode. keithgh *Ultimate Fish Guru* Posts: 6371 Kudos: 6918 Votes: 1542 Registered: 26-Apr-2003 | angeleel You certainly have a flash problem. I place my finger over the flash it works perfectly for me. Directly in front can be done but you have to have an excellent focus otherwise you can see the Camera. The att photo is what I use for most of my photos. remember practice makes perfect keep posting and we will get it sorted out.
