curvicep,

Very nice tank. A great example of how a low light tank can be done. Those Java Ferns look super healthy and a really nice layout.

Alex, it is some kind of Myriophyllum, but I'm not quite sure which one, it could be Myriophyllum simulans or Myriophyllum pinnatum, or maybe even another species. It grows very fast, 1 - 2 cm (about an inch) each day.

smantzer: thanks and yes that's sunset hygro there on the right side of the tank.

Keith: thank you, the tank has been doing fairly well the past few months. I still want to get pressurized CO2, hopefully in a couple of months and then maybe another lamp to keep the background plants in place (they tend to grow forward a little as the fixture is about 4 - 5 inches from the back of the tank.

dude_dude: this is a 65 gallon (or there abouts) tank, 4 feet wide, 22" high and 18" deep

Your tank certainly a well healthy planted tank.

curvicep
For some reason I could not look at your tank photo.

Bernard is correct that tank won it some time ago. I do not like posting it too often as it looks like I am braging.

I would prefer a tagged thread where past winners tanks are placed for all to see or others can be refered to this thread.

Just an idea.

Keith

Acidrain,

My tank won the last aquascaping contest. Although it's changed a bit since then I'd thought it would be the gentlemanly thing to step aside from this quarters contest. As it's changed so much I'll probably enter in the next.

I know Keith's tank has also won in the past so he may have similar reasons for not entering.

Keith, love your tank, well planted but super low maintenance and built for the long run! My tank is very similar.

I enjoy seeing other people fish tanks and how they are setup. Could everyone post a picture of their tank or a pic of their favorite tank setup?

Thanks
Dustin

AlexI don't have a close-up shot at the moment, and I can't take one since the lights are off already. It is one of my three Yoyo loaches that I got to take care of the trumpet snail population, which was growing quite out of proportion. Maybe I'll get a close up tomorrow

Here's my tank as of one hour ago, I did some serious weeding today as everything had grown way out of bounds again. It'll look best in a couple of days, but I couldn't wait with putting up this photo
