I also used the outer of the peas. As you can see they like hunting in and around the plants, that is why I have Anubias and they are all tied down. The Bristlenose loved the pea shells (for a better name) I tried to take a photo of them but they were in several small caves having a good feed. I would give them the fruit at least once per week no set pattern. We cook a lot of a frozen vege mix pea, corn & carrot. They prefer other foods to the algae on the plants once they get bigger which does not seem to take long in my tank.
