I was wondering why the base of the Betta holding net was always clean. While trying to take a photo of the Betta I quickly noticed this.

WOW..Very nice pics.
I dont know how you get so clear pics..i tried it hundred of times, but never managed to get so clear pics..how do you do it..
The same happend to me too...the net i have my fry in was never dirty on the sides or under.
I noticed that my Albino RTS,keyholes and my Hoplo catfish sometimes get to the net and start cleaning it.
Most of the times is the Albino rts who is there

The only reason I get some good photos is purely the camera. I have a Nikon 4500 with an excellent Macro which can be in perfect focus at 10mm, 3/8ins, I also can attach a soft light around the lens, this is not a flash just a soft light for the macro shots if required.

It is the old saying you get what you pay for.

are they actually cleaning the divider, or just trying to eat the betta?

The photo with the gouramis is fantastic

In the past I've used a similar net in tanks to hold fry and had the same thing happen. I always wondered if it traumatized the fry
