It's definitely a lot more fry than last time. Once they got more adventurous mom wasn't able to keep them all together and most got eaten. I tried to rescue a few but they didn't survive This time I hope to get one or two to keep. There is one lfs that often sells cichlid hybrids so if I do end up with survivors I think they might take them.

They've been moving around quite a bit today. Mom does her best to keep them in a group but we've still had wanderers get eaten.

All I could see was the last photo. There are certainly a lot there I suppose in nature only the strongest survive. That would be the reason for having so many fry would it not?
