Get up, turn tank lights on, do fish checks...BN missing in one of the tanks. Look & lock, no BN. Have the spouse look. Nothing. Tank was due for a water change/gravel vac so I thought that would be a good way to hunt. Moved everything around including all the rocks and caves...looked in the filter, on the floor. Finally gave up thinking Psycho the mystery cichlid did something to it ]:|

I was taking pics in another tank after and walking by this one I noticed most of the cories together, thought it would make a nice shot (there are 5 trilineatus and 1 panda in the tank):



They were near a tall rock-cavey sort of thing and I noticed something dark. Looking closer it was the BN, squashed and curled itself inside the rock:



Very happy to see it and not long after it was back to business:



Even the cories were happpy to see it return:

A "common" ancistrus. I like the patterning around the eyes, though. Those markings are quite attractive.

Loverly clear photos shows great detail.

I have 2 BNs...I call the coloring of this one dark chocolate and the other is milk chocolate The coloring/fins have almost a velvety look, very nice
