Jason_R_S Moderator Posts: 2811 Kudos: 2421 Votes: 391 Registered: 18-Apr-2001 | Today I decided I was sick of taking terrible pics of my fish with my cheap camera, so I splurged on a Kodak 7530 5.0 MP. Here are some of the first pics I got with it. A. robertsoni (female I believe ~4.5-5" Festae (Red Terror) pair Male festae ~7" Male festae again, looking out of a cave/rock formation where the pair have previously spawned twice. Female festae ~5.5" and small convict in background (I was so eager to try the new camera, I forgot to clean the glass first:%)) Arrowhead puffer ~4" [span class="edited"][Edited by jason_r_s 2004-08-25 01:15][/span] |

That is the trouble having a good camera it picks up every thing. I was having little dots pinpoint size in my photo I cleaned the glass both sides but still marks. I had a look at the out side of the glass from a side view and there they were. Water spots, these stains took me a long time to remove them with soft kitchen paper and metho. Have you tried any Macro shots yet? Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I VOTE DO YOU if not WHY NOT? VOTE NOW VOTE NOW |

I know about the water marks...I was too excited to try out the camera and forgot to clean the glass first:%) Don't know about macro options yet for this camera. I'm still playing around with it and trying to get the hang of it. Jason |

keithgh *Ultimate Fish Guru* Posts: 6371 Kudos: 6918 Votes: 1542 Registered: 26-Apr-2003 | Jason All my photos are taken on "Auto" There are several reason the main reason is I have not finished my Dr at uni yet on how to read and understand a digital camera instruction manual. Secondly I just do not know how to adjust all the bits corectly for the reason above. Finally as was explained to me by a professional photographer "The good camera makers have spent millions developing the (Auto) system so why not use it. Any/most alterations can be done an a good computer program" Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I VOTE DO YOU if not WHY NOT? I've gotten through part of the manual so far. Jason ps. glass is cleaner on the new pics |
