I posted here about my first 'real' attempt at breeding guppies. I'm happy to say the first group of males from the second generation of fry are starting to color up, and another larger batch was born three days ago.

Everyone is now in a 10g which I'm in the process of aquascaping. The males are absolutely gorgeous, calling them 'rainbow guppies' is really the best way to describe them.

The original moms are the top right and bottom left fish in the photo. One of the original dads is the bottom right, and the rest are my first generation males. When my camera comes back next week from vacation with the spouse I'll try to get some better shots.

Amazing color blend in your guppies
You could be selling those no problems to the store.

Here's my male.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v427/DaFishMan/GuppySamurai.jpg

He's a result of some selective breeding with Psychadelic guppy males from Singapore crossed with fancy female guppies chosen for long fins and color. Wished I had more, I placed a small paradise gourami in, the next morning, no fry. New batch 3 days ago. I wish I could make a pond at my parents, throw them in and see what happens...

Purple Moscow guppy trio comin soon (trading for plants).. but my next breeding attempt is german blue rams and apistos..

ps - in the first pic bottom right, looks like guppy crossed with endler. that's how they started getting those iridescent colors in the guppies. It's a nice cross.

The Amazon Nut...
