I made my first two sales ever of fish, some of my 'rainbow' guppies, so I thought I'd share a collage I put together of them

They're all males and they're actually my strain which came about accidentally. The original parents were a half-black purple female and a wild male

edit: in regard to M/F, I should also add that the majority of fry are males for some reason. The females I do get are still HB purples.

Theresa,
I have heard that water hardness has a lot to
do with sex differentiation in guppy fry.
It seems to be true too.
Example, where I live I am on well water, and while
the water is beautifully pure, it is incredibly hard,
around 260 ppm of dissolved calcium!
Most of my guppy and platy fry born are male, I would say as much as around 80%
My sister also keeps guppies, but where she is she is on city water and it is very soft >80ppm, and she has about 80% of her guppy fry born are female!
Very beautiful guppies!

That's the nicest strain of guppies I've seen in a long time. You should be proud !!! First sale of MANY I would think. The colors are very subtle and relaxing too as opposed to the 'bold' styles out as of late.

Hopefully you will be entering them in some contests you might have a very marketable strain there and contest/award winning will UP their value considerably as well as 'validate' your strain in the breeders world

Those are some fine looking guppy's

I had the fire red guppy's a while ago and every once in a while I would get a male with irridescent blue/red fins...looked cool.
