You can adjust the flash very easly by placing a tissue over the flash this will soften it up a lot. The next is rather drastic and takes a bit of practice. I place my finger over part of the flash and take several photos of the same subject. You soon get the hang of it. Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I VOTE DO YOU if not WHY NOT? VOTE NOW VOTE NOW |

Jason_R_S Moderator Posts: 2811 Kudos: 2421 Votes: 391 Registered: 18-Apr-2001 | I've tried different tissues and basically anything I put over the flash makes the pic come out really dark. even the thinnest piece of tissue I could find didn't work. So I've been trying different methods with zooming, focusing on the subject then moving slightly so the flash isn't pointed directly at it etc. I'm very pleased with some of the new pics I've been getting. I was especially happy with the pic I recently posted of my Honduran red point (above). I'm going to make a new thread to post some pics I've gotten of my plecos. Jason ps. keith I haven't emailed you back because I've been wrapped up with my camera. plus to be honest I dread having to get into my 150 to move stuff around because it's so tall. I am planning to get on that soon though and get some new pics. also, I'm going to try switching one of the pieces of driftwood with one in another tank that is closer in color to the rest of the wood. the piece on the far left is much lighter than the rest and that's always bothered me. |
