I put scallop pieces in three of my tanks today. Platies and BN like it. In another tank my female convict hid it in her cave and is picking at it. But wow, the tiger barbs went nuts :%)

I've only had them a couple weeks and they're still young/small, and the first really active barbs I kept. They aren't usually agressive eaters but they just attacked the scallop

Never fed scallops but they would be loverly soft flesh and very tasty.
