moondog Moderator The Hobnob-lin Posts: 2676 Kudos: 1038 Votes: 4366 Registered: 30-Sep-2002 | so mrs moondog and i were in las vegas last weekend, and we visited caesar's palace, because they were advertising their new 50,000g sw aquarium. we borrowed our friend's digicam (a very cheap one, an olympus d-520) and the following pics are a result of what happens when you have no control over the settings of the camera whatsoever. At least one good photo. I have been saying this for a long time about cameras and a lot of Aquarium products. "You only get what you pay for" Quality cost but it is always worth it. I saw some recent 35mm Kodak UW disposable photos taken while diving on the Great Barrier Reef & some land shots tanken by 6 & 8 Ylds better than a lot of digital photos I have seen. moondog Moderator The Hobnob-lin Posts: 2676 Kudos: 1038 Votes: 4366 Registered: 30-Sep-2002 | keith, we had to borrow this camera because my "good" camera uses floppies and i have no floppy drive on my laptop. i'll be getting a very good quality camera of my own within the next few months, so the next time i take pics i can get good ones and no flash, mainly because i don't want tank glare in every pic. the shutter speed might be faster, but the pics would have turned out worse, imho. victimizati0n Banned Posts: 1217 Kudos: 1105 Votes: 31 Registered: 29-Apr-2004 | That is why you go at an angle, you wolnt get the glair. I put mine on macro mode, then put the lens (gently) against the glass, so the flash cant show up in the pictures |
