Best Place for C02 glass diffuser | |

Filter is a no brainer, as I will want them to enter at each end of the tank (there will be 2 eheim cannister filters on the tank), but I'm not sure exactly the best spot for the C02 diffuser. It is one of those Rhinox 5000 ones - sold on ebay a lot. Where is the best spot? Any advice is appreciated. Cheers TW |

Especially those using them in large tanks such as this one. In theory, you want the bubbles to be very fine (small) so that the tank currents carry them around the tank instead of allowing them to rise rapidly to the surface to break. The longer the bubbles are below the surface, the more efficient the exchange of CO2 gas, to the water. Depending upon the output of the filters, you may have to add a power head somewhere around the middle of the tank to "Goose" the currents and keep the bubbles in suspension. Or, you may consider two of the diffusers, one in the output stream from each filter. Frank -->>> The Confidence of Amateurs, is the Envy of Professionals <<<-- |
