I have a 29g that is heavily planted to the point that intentional overstocking is not enough to keep my nitrAtes at a good level. I have DIY CO2, liquid ferts, flourite substrate, and root tabs.

I remember reading somewhere about some brand of stump remover. What brand is it, and where is the best place to get it? Also, could I get some dosage information on it.

Thanks

stump remover would be the cheapest way of getting the brand you are looking for would be called Green Light and as for where u can find it lowe's usually carries it, but u can try other local hardware stores and see if they carry it. as for dosage i'll let someone who is more experienced, i use one of the little spoons from the seachem test kits to dose mine. but i'll leave it to someone who is more experienced.

P.S. i think theres an actual dosage calculator on one the the plant sites that will actually determine how much u need, but unfortunetly i have lost the link, mayb someone lse will have it.

Hi,
I use GRANT'S STUMP REMOVER, purchased from the local
Walmart. You want to read the labels carefully, some
are pure KHNO3 which is what you want, while others
have additives which of course you don't want.

Frankly, I experimented with the dosage. I used a 1/8
teaspoon full. To me, your starting dosage would depend
on what your beginning value is, and what you want it
to rise to. Then add a small dose wait a day or so,
and test again.
This is one of the sites to calculate the amounts
of the various nutrients for fertilizers:

By the way at 1/8 to 1/2 teaspoon, a 1 pound bottle will
last quite a while.

I use SaltPetre (Potassium Nitrate), which I buy at the pharmacy. Basically the same stuff, but I'm sure more expensive than the stump remover, as it's rated for human consumption.

GRANT'S STUMP REMOVER

We call a STUMP REMOVER a large machine that removes tree stumps, after the tree has been removed and the stump is still in the ground.

Sorry about that.
