Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. THe Phillipines variety has hammered-looking leaves, and i think it is also narrower. I personally like this variety better than others, and i have yet to see it in stores. I saw on a website selling plants once that the Java Fern's leaves can reach a foot long, and they called it a monster mother plant. ><> ~=!Vote Today!=~ <>< -----> View My Dragons <----- |

They call it Ahnuld Fern or something like that, refering to Shwarzenager, you can correct me on the spelling of that. I still say its just how they were grown. They will get smaller in the aquariums. In my experience, java ferns put out short leaves in low light. Under high light, they produce large leaves that may be trilobed. |

I am sure that experience beats theory, but i always thought that plants will grow larger leaves in low light to catch as much sun as possible. Smaller leaves, i thought, were almost always accompanied my multiple small leaves. Wow, i guess there are things in life that common sense wouldnt solve (Shouldve realized that by now! ) ><> ~=!Vote Today!=~ <>< -----> View My Dragons <----- |
