In my tank i have this plant i do not know the name so my first Q is can eny one ID this plant? http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f125/juwel-180/plant.jpg It is the one with the red rings round it.

The next is the tip of the leaves go brown only the tip and look realy bad. Here is a pic http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f125/juwel-180/plant2.jpg
It is the bits in the red rings. The lighting is low to medium, temp is 25c and ph 6.5-7.0. I have seen snails in the tank nibble at it but that is it and the algea eatter keep that down so it is not that.

Do i have to increase he light or somthing eles. Please help!!!!!!

Juwel,

H. corymbosa is very tolerant of light, acidity and water hardness. The brown tips are difficult to see in your photo but it is likely a nutrient deficiency. Do you fertilize your tank? If so, what do you use? What are your nitrates?

juwel-180,

I am with Bob,

but just in case - how much light do you have and how big is the tank?

And what kind of substrate do you have?

Hi,
Get rid of the warm white. It is designed for reading and
not the best type of light for plants as it does not mimic
sunlight.
