	Planting Swords with or without flower/seed heads?
keithgh Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 6371 Kudos: 6918 Votes: 1542 Registered: 26-Apr-2003	This is in the 11G Betta tank I think these heads could be either flower and or seed heads. If I was planting seedlings into the outdoor garden I would remove all flowers etc to allow the roots to get established. What is the best to do here and why? bensaf Fish Master Posts: 1978 Kudos: 1315 Registered: 08-Apr-2004	Hi Keith, Looks like emmersed growth seed/flower heads. If it is it's still ok to plant but expect a lot of the current leaves and the seeds to die off while it's going thru the transition. It'll be replaced by new submersed growth. Trim off any sections that start to brown or melt. Some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue. Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability.
