I am new to having live plants in my tank and right now I only have 2 adult java ferns and 2 babies just started. I have tried to have water sprite but my fish eat it faster then it will grow. So if anyone has any plants that they know of that fish tend not to eat that would be great Thanks

anubias is almost indestructable and it can be attached to rocks and wood

I also agree Anubias is a very hardy plant, it also requires to be secured to DW or rocks.

There are several varieties from the very small leafed to the large leafed and big plant. They can be a slow grower it all depends on your conditions.

My 5ft tank is full of Anubias

there are two varieties of plants that fish will *never* eat no matter what fish you have: plastic and silk.

Java Fern 'Lace' would be a nice choice,
as well as plants in the Crypt family. Crypts aren't quite as tough as anubias but maybe worth a shot, and several types of those too.

Java Moss, fish like to nibble this stuff but still it grows...

Val plants can be fairly tough.

Crinium or onion plants taste nasty to fish, so they should leave them alone. I've also had pretty good luck with tiger lotus or dwarf lily bulbs, but I can't vouch for them be inedible 100%.

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...

Anubias are quite hardy & they also fine in low light tanks.
