i have an amazon sword that is getting eaten by one of my fish, but which one? here are the suspects:

slender rarboras
black phantom tetras
rosy tetras
clown barb
clown loaches
boesman rainbows
bolivian ram
congo tetras
red eye tetras
white skirt tetras

the reason why im asking this is because ive heard swords are pretty unappitizing to fish, or could i be wrong? please tell me if any of these fish are known for eating swords.

I have never seen my CLs eating any of my Anubias, not saying they dont there are plenty of broken edges.

But I do know that they can tear a lettuce leaf to shreds very quickly especially the larger Clowns.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Zach,

I would not blame any of your fish immediately without answering these questions:
How long have you had your sword?
If you just put it into your aquarium, does it show any new leaf growth or root growth?
If you have had the sword for some time, do you fertilize the plant?

Most swords are grown emersed then sold as immersed plants. The emersed foliage will yellow and die back as new foliage begins to grow. The new foliage is suited for life underwater.

If you have had the sword for some time, holes in the leaves and a washing out or yellowing of the leaf may be an indicator that it needs fertilization.

Note: "some time" means more than two months.
