Sorry I dunno if this is the right place to be posting but, I heard somewhere that acrylic tanks fog up eventually (or something like that) is this true?
...
& would it be better 4 a begginner to get an Acrylic tank or a Glass tank?

It all basically boils down to budget. If you can afford it acrylic is the way to go. Its lighter and stronger but scratches easier. Which's something you may want to consider if you go with sand or a cichlid that likes to spit gravel.

Not sure what you mean by fogs, dude. Acrylics can discolor when exposed to direct sunlight or certain chemicals can cause a discoloration.

oh, thats probably what I saw..How long does it take 4 a tank to "dis colour"?

That is close to impossible to answer reasons being. The tanks location as far as natural light is concerned and the types of chemicals/dyes used.

I personaly would prefer glass as you dont seem to have as much trouble with the glass as you can with the Acrylic.

Glass will stain if external water splashes are not wiped of very quickly. Also glass will scratch if you do not use the correct cleaning products.

My 2yld tank is as good as new as far as any marks/discolourings are concerned
