Another DIY CO2 Reactor | |
mughal113 Big Fish Posts: 343 Kudos: 160 Votes: 64 Registered: 16-Jun-2006 | Hi all, Ive just built a CO2 reactor for my very small tank (6G only). Its small and working pretty good so I thought of sharing the design. The common gravel vaccum forced reactor design was not practical in my case due to very small tank size. I utilized the uplift tube of an old air driven corner filter and one small fine air stone...thats it. The flow from the already present small (very small in fact) internal filter is used draw the water in and out of the reactor. Here is a schematic of the design. http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k96/mughal113/CO2-reactor.jpg I can rarely see a bubble escaping the tube and the plants are growing at a much better rate. So I assume its working pretty fine. |
