Think I will juast see if this makes any difference, before I make the purchase of proper setup. Anyone advise on a cheap but reliable setup for a 300l tanks (80 UK g's). Cheers |

DIY CO2 will often not have the same effect on larger tanks such as yours as they will have on smaller tanks like a 10 or 20 gallon. ^_^ Current [link=Contest Rules]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Aquascaping/44382.html?200412022138" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link] |

I did it, I purchased over the weekend, a new CO2 setup.....I thought I might as well buy the reactor and a extra timer!... So I have my air pump online at night and my co2 online during the day. Took me a while to configure it all so I am just waiting now to see if it makes a difference seem as the whole lot cost me about £250 + ..I hope all the article I read have proven good. Cheers |

You can simply allow it to run at the level you set, 24/7,365. The only time you would NEED to shut off the CO2 at night is if you walk into the tank room just before the lights come on, and find the fish gasping at the surface. If all is well first thing in the morning then it is not necessary, and turning off the CO2 is only a "feel good" thing to do.
