I want to turn a clawfoot tub into an indoor pond...and was thinking of using the drain and vent lines into a way to filter...

Any thoughts?

tubs are tricky because they get used for not-fish for so long and cleaning chemicals, soaps, and other residue can remain that will harm fish. Also, you will have to replace all of the metal plumbing parts with plastic or aquarium-safe rubber.

That said, it is possible and looks kinda neat, but it will take more work than you may realize.
On www.monsterfishkeepers.com there are forums for DIY tanks (and these are BIG tanks) and another for indoor ponds, and you are likely to find lots of information and ideas on how to plumb your clawfoot pond.
I wish I could be of more help.

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...
