Well, the tank dividers you buy for 55g's just aren't wide enough for mine, even though it's a standard 55g. There's a 1 inch gap, so I'm thinking of making my own.

I heard plexiglass is best to use. Drill lots of holes, yep... what would we use to keep it sticking to the sides without making it a permanent adaptation?

You could use the suction cups which have the little clips to hold the air lines.

Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.

A divider holder?

Callatya attached this image:

I just used eggcrate and dug it in the gravel and twist tied it to the middle brace. It held 2 big texas cichlids at bay but there lips were beat up. I would sand it down if I did it again.

I found it at Blacktown Pet and Produce, but i think most shops should be able to get them, i'll take a punt that they come through Aquasonic.

Those clips look like a good idea, but not if you want to separate very small fry.

I’m about to divide our 55 gal into 4 separate grow out tanks. I’m going to use lexan. My plan is to hold it in place and tack it down with a little bit of superglue, then run a bead of silicone tank sealant along the seam.

I don’t want holes in it. I want to keep the water completely separate. I will use a sponge filter in each compartment.

HTH to give you more ideas.
