ECCO 2233 or Classic 2213? | |
fish479 Hobbyist Posts: 62 Kudos: 48 Votes: 3 Registered: 21-Dec-2003 | I'm looking at one of these eheim filters for my 45, any opinions on either one? Both are withing 10 dollars of each other, so cost really isn't a factor. Can't really afford the pro series. thanks |

Actually the 2233 is now the 2234 the only difference being is that it comes with the efisubstrate and not the pads. For that size tank I would go with the 2235/2236. It's only $10 more and has a capacity up to 85 gallons. Eheims are big on biological filteration so the flow will not be too powerfrul for your tank. You could regulate the flow anyway. My Scapes |

The Pro series are certainly better. Have a good look and compare the filtration material used, and all the other features it has. The Pro is fully made in Germany as well. My Pro is an excellent piece of equipment Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I VOTE DO YOU if not WHY NOT? VOTE NOW VOTE NOW |

lou Fingerling Posts: 44 Votes: 0 Registered: 06-Sep-2004 | i recently bought an ecco, and it's great. it was the best value for money in England. easy to prime. no noise at all. Looks easy to clean (i look it to bits as soon as i got it) and this is gonna sound stupid but it looks great. i have an open stand with no cupboards but i don't mind it showing. |

I think I'm going to order the ECCO later today. thatpetplace.com has some good prices going right now, about $15 less than drsfostersmith.com. The pro series 2026 looks really great, but my fish supply "allowance" won't cover it. |
