If you are looking for a very quiet, quality and reliable filter I would suggest you look at the Eheim filters YES they do cost more but remember you are buying a high quality reliable filter.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

yes eheims are great,a top quality filter, but the fluval 304 is also a great filter,i use that same filter,it performs well, and yes its whipers quiet!they are very easy to clean and pull down, and very easy to set up,i also use a fluval 304 too, thats also a great filter!
