Hi guys,

I managed to source a ViaAqua 750 from my friend - if I can get it started, I can keep it

Seeing as this is the first time ever that I've even touched a canister filter let alone a broken one, I figured I could get some decent help from here:

It's got a broken impellor (blades snapped) for starters. I don't know what else is wrong with it apart from not being able to start

1) Where is the cheapest place to purchase spare parts for Via Aqua filters in Sydney?

2) Should I even bother spending money buying a new impellor if it's not guaranteed to work?

3) How do I put it together (the motor bit)?

4) How do I start it?

5) Is there anyone in my area that has a spare impellor, or is willing to give me a hand?

I don't really want to spend much money on it, because I'd rather save myself the trouble and get an Eheim if I need to.

Thanks in advance,

Jason

I would not even bother trying to fix it, reason it will cost you $$$ and no gurantee it will be a good filter, also that $$$ could be put to better use buying a new Eheim.

Keith

Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.

Hi Keith (and anyone else who reads this thread),

I thought that might have been the answer I'd get - a new impellor costs $35!!!

Thanks anyway
