FRANK Moderator Posts: 5108 Kudos: 5263 Votes: 1690 Registered: 28-Dec-2002 | Hi, Welcome to Fish Profiles! When I used to work in a local fish store, we used to keep our nets in an old HOB type filter box filled with water and a mixture of Malachite Green. Whenever we used one, we would replace it and take out another net, we never went from one tank to another with the same net. The used one was always put to soak before reuse. Perhaps others will share their experiences. Frank -->>> The Confidence of Amateurs, is the Envy of Professionals <<<-- |

Other than that, you can use a commercial product called 'net soak'. It's basically a little disinfectant that is used in the same way that frank describes. The net sits in the solution, you use the net, and put it back in the solution. Voila! |
