brandeeno Mega Fish Posts: 929 Kudos: 636 Registered: 13-Sep-2007 | turn mine on around 6:30 in the am and turn off about 9:00 or when i go to bed (can be later)... have some algae which could be controlled but i dont really want to spend the money on a timer when i could just buy more fish/plants/or tank stuff with the same funds. \\\\\\\"an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of the cure\\\\\\\" |

Shinigami Ichthyophile Catfish/Oddball Fan Posts: 9962 Kudos: 2915 Registered: 22-Feb-2001 | My lights go from 11 AM to 9 PM, which is 10 hours. How long you want them on for doesn't matter unless you have plants; otherwise it's when you can just have them on for when you want to view the fish. -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |
